Friction welding
Friction welding, or pinch welding, is an advanced welding process that uses mechanical friction to generate heat and fuse 2 elements without using welding materials.
At MEVA, we have been pioneers in this technology: we use a robotic island complete with manually-loaded machines to perform friction welding both on large shafts and on small series, obtaining a perfect weld, free of porosity and surface imperfections.
At MEVA, we weld carbon steel with stainless steel to obtain motor shafts that, with a single process, are characterised by 3 aspects: corrosion resistance, high yield, and cost-effectiveness of the raw material.
